The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Truth is difficult.  We all think we want it when we go out looking for solutions and answers whether in life or business but in reality we ever really want it.  It can be painful when our eyes are opened up to reality for the first time.  To learn that what we had held as truth throughout the past is nothing but window dressing is not enjoyable.

Truth is often complicated.  What is true on Monday may not be true on Friday.  The nature of the world is change and the nature of truth is also ephemeral.  Knowing something to be true is not the same as it staying true forever.

Further complicating matters is that many questions don’t have a true answer.  Where should you build a new site doesn’t have a true answer – it has ranges and uncertainties and valleys and flows.  There is no way to get to truth.  There is no true answer to the question.

In real estate so much of what we deal in is possibilities.  What is true today may be the furthest thing from the truth in a year.  Knowing when to seek truth versus when to seek confidence is often the difference between a bad result and an outstanding one.
