We have finally reached that time of the year when we all share our thoughts for the year past and our hopes for the year ahead. It’s a wonderful period meant for global introspection and resetting our mindset for what comes next. Not everyone takes it that way, but most give it a shot.
2022 has been an amazing year of new learnings. Never before has there been a global new direction that completely upends the industry that I work in. No one agrees on what the impact is today, next year, or longer term. No one agrees on whether we need less space or the same space. No one agrees on how we should be measuring or thinking about the future. It’s a truly amazing time to be thinking creatively about the path forward in a time where new things are going to be happening every day in the new year.
All of that said, I will be happy to have it behind and move on to 2023. This year has seemed to drag and cover the span of three years. I cannot quite put my finger on why this year stretched and last year did not. Time has been flying by quickly for the past decade, I suppose I should just be thankful to have it give some back to me for a short period.
With all that said, I hope that everyone out there has a successful, pleasant, and happy conclusion to this 2022 and that it transitions the same into next year. I really am looking forward to experiencing where this world takes us next!
