For those about to fly, Wired has dared to dream it easier.

The boarding pass.  For those of us that fly regularly it’s a fact of life (unless you’ve gone all electronic and have it on your phone).  And most boarding passes are confusing and hard to follow.  It’s just the way things are.

But then Wired.com thought to ask the question:  can we do this better?  And the answer is clearly yes.

I can’t tell you how often I pull out my boarding pass to find the gate number or flight number and sit there scanning with no success until 60 seconds later I finally find the information I want.  Heaven help you if you fold your pass in half to fit it in your pocket.  The information you want is never right above the fold and always on the other side.

Why should you care about this though?  Because you should always be asking what you can do better with the things you’ve done for years.  Can your PowerPoint templates be better?  Maybe you can improve your use of color in Excel documents to call out important numbers better.  Or maybe your business cards need a refresh.

Always be questioning.
