I find this humorous because I shouldn’t expect anything else from Windows. But I’ve been fixing a computer for one of my wife’s coworkers this week. This computer was fairly well done for. BSOD every startup. Windows install CD wouldn’t even start running.
I was able to reinstall and began the process of putting all the necessary files (re: drivers, antivirus, any browser except for Internet Explorer). Download drivers with no problem from Gateway. Pull down Adobe, again no issues. Try to download Firefox and am greeted by a message saying:
To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer.
Thanks Microsoft for protecting me from big, bad software!
