Imagine my surprise to see one of my favorite non-CRE, non-industrial writers throw out LTL as a topic today. Access to information makes it possible to better use smaller spaces and it’s a global topic – not just industrial.
And that’s Seth’s point. Trends that impact consumer trends (re: Uber, Lyft, Amazon, etc) can also impact other, seemingly completely unrelated, areas such as LTL shipping. Because really more efficiently using LTL space is not all that different from Uber.
Don’t sleep on trends that haven’t moved to your area yet. Someone will eventually do the translation and if it isn’t you then you’re going to be late to the game.
