This week in “Kids, get off my lawn!”…

I love LinkedIn.  It’s a giant mashup of generations all trying to make their own particular use of this wonderful social media site.  You have everyone from 18 year olds just now in college trying to figure out what this working world is like all the way to 70+ year old retirees who keep up with their colleagues and acquaintances.  As such it is not uncommon for LinkedIn to be home to many “keep off my lawn” posts because it’s such a melting pot of differences.

But never before have I seen a post like this with someone blaming Responsive web design for making “Millennials dumber.”  This broken leap of logic is a thing of beauty.  To be perfectly fair it seems as if most of the angst in this post is actually directed at Google but the writer didn’t want that to be the headline.  I’m also a bit surprised at the singling out of Millennials in particular because the conclusion this post draws is that:

The human brain is heavily reliant on ‘locations’ to store memory

Seemingly this only impacts Millennials though.  Apparently those with more experience have figured out how to make their brains immune to this reliance.
