These days the news is all about the next big thing. It seems like everyone is yelling about the cloud (my ears seem to be ringing with their tune at least). Big Data is BIG! The CLOUD is BIGGER!! Everything we used to know will be gone!!!
Calm down, smell the roses and remember that change comes slowly. Even in our GoogleBook, Twitpic world nothing happens in 6 months. Very little happens in 2 years. And sometimes you get big change over a 5 year window. Except for overblown, attention grabbing news stories and whitepapers that is.
