Never believe that something “must” happen. Failure is always an option.

It’s easy for us to believe that something must happen. The “or else” is usually unspoken but implied. Surely, if someone is required to do something, they’ll do it. If their inaction will lead to team failure, they have to do it.

Failure is always an option. Not everyone understands the situation as you do. Sometimes things come up and leade to confusion. Sometimes people just throw their hands in the air and shout “screw it” to the world. Sometimes luck just falls the wrong way.

Failure is always an option. The worst case scenario exists for a reason – it can and does happen. Ignoring it as a possibility means that you will not be ready for it when it comes. A career is a long time, sometimes the dice crap out.

Failure is always an option.
