Let’s play “Count the #121212 Posts”!

It may not be the end of the world, but humans are suckers for odometer effects.  Whenever the clock or the calendar hits some round or repeating number we all love it (obviously myself included!).

But as a behavioral mechanism it has positive side effects.  Just like New Years causes everyone to think about what they can improve for the next twelve months, odometer months cause us to also pause and reflect.  It’s a break from our everyday experiences that allows us to find time to look for ways to improve or change.  Maybe it’s just a break that allows us a moment to breath.

Either way, enjoy the 12/12/12 Odometer Day!
