While some may argue, social media and blogging are not measurable revenue generating activities. They build brand, create awareness and promote you/your services but they do not actively create purchasing opportunities in and of themselves. Yes, I’m aware there are exceptions but these are fairly rare and uncommon – you likely don’t fall into the exception category.
Not every activity needs a true ROI and thinking so is incorrect. Pick the correct KPI given realistic goals for an activity. For me, blogging is about habit creation and writing improvement. I can point to many instances where the fact that I blog helped me to create other content under short deadlines. This is the ROI for me. The personal growth that adds to the other areas of my life.
Some things shouldn’t have cost metrics but are still important.
