Evernote, Onenote and other online organization systems are taking over task management. Yet I’ve found myself moving back to paper. I had given up hand written notes for about 3 years now. I’ve been drawn back.
The reason is that turning off electronics in a meeting makes conversation easier. There are no distractions or even the hint of distraction. You end up only with the goal of reaching mutual understanding and brainstorming. Interestingly paper has also made it easier for me to go back and to recall past conversations in the inorganic nature. Digital can be so clean.
Worth carrying on? Not sure yet but it is fascinating to examine.
