Free Culture thoughts

A friend loaned me a copy of the book Free Culture which has been an extremely thought provoking read so far (5 hours on planes yesterday and I’m a bit over half way through).  The topic of the book is specifically focused on copyright and the impact technology has had on our creative culture since the first copyright laws in England through today.  Regardless of where you fall on the copyright/technology debate it’s a book that can’t help but make you think.

Interestingly though, the ideas are highly flexible to real estate concepts.  The rise of technology enables alternative working models which change the value proposition of real estate.  It’s not a direct correlation but it is an intriguing jumping off point for some mental games.

I still have a lot more to go but want to make sure I wholeheartedly recommend this to others.
