Don’t put off the conversations that need to happen today just because they are difficult.

Just because things aren’t the way you wish them to be does not mean that you should start pretending them to be otherwise.  Letting the world carry on without dealing with all situations is a recipe for the worst to come about – not the best.  Putting off conversations is not a solution.

Why am I bringing this up you ask?  Simply because sometimes it’s important to force the conversations to happen as an outside party.  People can be their own worst enemies at times and it might come down to us to help them find the right path to success.

That’s mentoring.  Sometimes it’s appropriate to let someone fail so that they know what it feels like.  Other times it’s better to keep them moving in the right direction.  Wisdom is knowing which to use in a given situation.
