As a service provider of real estate services, I work with a lot of clients that are in the middle of problems they have never encountered and may never encounter again. But I also work with a lot of clients that are in the middle of a problem that is going to be coming up again and again in the future.
My maximum revenue decision would be to position them to bring me in each time they have that problem. This doesn’t serve the client’s needs though. What they need is not only a solution for now, but an understanding of how to address the same problem again in the future.
Education is a critical ingredient to every project I work on. I want my clients to feel like they have improved their business position and also that their team is better prepared to face the challenges that are coming at them tomorrow. If you are working with someone that doesn’t put your education high on the priority list, there are others out there that do and are more than willing to help you instead.
