Disclosure of interests

I find it interesting to learn the biases of those that I read.  So I thought I’d share a few of mine in the interest of letting you know a few reasons you really shouldn’t be following me after all.

1. Ender’s Game is the greatest book ever written. The Godfather is a close second.
2. If you don’t watch Braveheart at least twice a year I question your taste in movies.
3. I really do believe that Seth Godin is a genius. Malcolm Gladwell could give him a run for his money. And of course innovators still are having dilemmas.
4. Boy Genius Repots has the scoops I’m looking for and Techdirt gives me the inside track on the issues I should really care about (even if they sometimes beat that proverbial dead horse).
5. Hayek was a real economist and Bitcoins will never take off.
6. China isn’t a passing fad but it hasn’t found it’s future yet.
7. I’m a precocious Gen Y dreamer. I want to reinvent the world and think that the way things work today is generally wrong (really, only two parties still? When is the Pirate Party coming stateside?).
8. Baby Boomers ultimately agree on what the end state should be but almost never on the path to get there.
9. I love my wife, hope to start a family and wish I saw my parents more.
10. Believe passionately that things will always be better and that one person ABSOLUTELY can change the world.
11. The world is dysfunctional and Industrial Engineers will always find broken processes to fix.

If you don’t believe in something how can you ever hope to drive change? Oh yeah, I also reserve the right to change my mind as time passes and more information comes available….don’t judge. Or do, because that’s the point.
