Running Like Crazy

Some weeks are crazier than others.  Some you don’t get time to settle in and catch your breath.  Looks like this might be one of those for me.

When weeks get hectic it’s important to make sure you plan in stoppage time.  It isn’t possible for the internal motors to run 12 hours straight without something coming loose.  Ultimately you’ll lose productivity if you keep trying to run along the line you have set for yourself.

In order to recharge you need to change gears for even 30 minutes and do something that takes your mind off the tasks at hand.  My personal favorite is the 30 minute power read.  Often I won’t even remember a single page that I read because my mind ends up split into two places but it almost never fails to settle me back down.

Don’t push yourself to the end of your rope.  Make sure you stop and smell the roses – at least sometimes.  I’ll try to.
