December 25, 2017

Merry Christmas to everyone and may your new year be special!

I didn’t realize we weren’t allowed to say Merry Christmas until Donald Trump recently told me it was a thing again. So consider this me taking advantage of a newfound right that I never knew that I had lost!

But in all seriousness, this time of the year many of us are taking time to visit family, forget about work (just a bit), recharge our batteries, and begin thinking about all the ways that next year is going to be amazing. December just happens to form that perfect time capsule to remind us to stop and reflect. It’s important to settle down in a comfortable chair, sip from a nice glass of whiskey, and just smile at the good things around us.

No matter what else is happening, how wrong things may be going elsewhere, how frustrating things are in a part of life, we can stop to remember that we are here right now.

We are here and it’s right where we are supposed to be. It’s a step on our journey to do more, do better, and try harder. It’s a step forward in life with unlimited possibility.

I’ve moved into sappy territory so I’m just going to stop here and say again, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
