My most viewed story of all time. #Medium

This is the story of a post I made back in January of 2014.  It was something that I put up on Medium when I was trying it out.  I wanted to try my had at a couple of longer pieces and I ended up with a couple of successes (the second one to come tomorrow).

Use your experience to create a mediated experience

It’s currently been viewed 945 times and read through 362 times.  That’s impressive numbers for something I never did any advertising or linking to other than the same way I do my regular blog posts.  The difference in number of views is purely due to the built-in audience that comes from Medium.

There’s definitely a place for the larger, non-self-controlled site for certain types of posts.  It’s about finding a way to fit them all into your style.
