Demographics matter when making our location decisions.

The demographic make-up of your employees is driven primarily by two factors:

  • Your corporate culture and how that influences people to apply for jobs.
  • The demographics around where your offices are located.

Corporate HR and Management has a strong influence on the first, corporate Real Estate has a strong influence on the second.  Who would have thought that CRE can have one of the biggest impacts on driving diversity into an organization?

But it’s true.  Choosing locations is about more than just financial considerations.  It’s about understanding the impact that location has on the business – in all the many, many ways that location influences the business.

Just something else to think about the next time you are deciding between sites or opening a new facility.
