Always seek out A players. No exception.

Some people want to hire B players.  They want someone who will sit in a cubicle, head down and do what they are told.  No exception, no creativity, no fuss.

Those people are wrong.

Always seek to hire A players.  Most A players know they are A players, most B players think they are A players and C players pretend to be B players.  Therefore, if you try to hire B players you will always end up on the short end of the hiring stick.  Follow all that?

Truly successful people want to work with the best and brightest.  They want to be challenged, they want to be pushed, they want to learn.  Anyone that says they are perfectly fine with the uninspired working for them has just revealed themselves to be one of that group.  You can’t be an A player yourself without the risk and challenge that comes along with it.
