Silence really is the best tool in anyone’s arsenal.

From CREOnline we have the case study of how not talking trimmed more than 50% from an asking price.

It provides a great opportunity for us all to pause and reflect on the value of silence.  Quiet does a number of things, but mainly it causes discomfort in those not expecting it allowing you to learn more than you would have otherwise.  Additionally, it turns you into an excellent listener.

Being able to talk is a given.  Carrying on a conversation is an expected social interaction.  By changing the rules and employing silence you are creating a situation in which you have the upper hand.
