What do you see that no one else does? That’s your #value.

Duke Long had a great post yesterday that I’d like to take a bit further.  He mentioned all the things he sees in real estate that a lot of others wouldn’t notice. I’d like to go so far as to say, if you don’t have a list like this you probably aren’t top of your field.

If you can only do the same things as everyone else, what are you bringing to the table for your clients?  But if you can look at a building in summer and imagine the way employees will interact with it in winter….that’s different.  If you can spot the flaws that no one else sees, that can set you apart fast.  And if you can’t set yourself apart, might as well take up accounting now.
