This will be a short review because it’s a very straightforward situation at the moment. Eero does all of the basics extremely well and provides a great platform to build from going forward. The best things I can say about Eero after two weeks:
- It took less than a combined 15 minutes to setup three units (less time than I’ve needed to setup traditional routers in the past)
- I haven’t had a single blip or issue since they’ve been installed
- Wifi speed and reception has been improved in every room of the house (with the exception of the room the previous router was in)
The administrative features that come with the system are still very basic in the app so I have yet to dive into anything beyond the basics but it has done the basics so very well.
The only potential glitch I’ve run into so far is related to wifi calling on my Nexus 6p. It’s a feature I’ve never used before so I don’t know if any issues I’ve had with this are due to the phone, service provider (internet or cell) or router. It could be any of the above and my suspicion is that it is not router based given some of the symptoms. I include this note only in the name of thoroughness.
